Our world is far more fragile than we envisioned. We came to know that everything could be broken and the history has been made up with tons of cruel memories. On March 11, 2011, the great earthquake and following tsunami hit the Tohoku area in Japan. I arrived at the scene 10 days later and met lots of people struggling in the debris. Lots of students lost their houses but were smiling at the graduation ceremony held at the junior high school. I put together these images in a ZINE ‘hope/TOHOKU’. Now I am going to the disaster area almost every month and catching how they would get rebirth. Photographs can tell that the world could easily get collapsed while it could get reborn and build a new future.
